Tarifa... its endless beaches, its white sand, its winds that enchant water sports enthusiasts... A magical place to dive into adventure, right?
Yes, but... what if the immensity of the ocean impresses us and every wave makes us hesitate to put one foot in the water?
Since its beginnings, Swim en el Mar has become an essential reference for open water swimming in the Campo de Gibraltar region.
Year after year, more and more people are taking the plunge to achieve various goals: some come to learn the basics, others to perfect their technique, and many are motivated by the dream of completing a crossing or taking on an aquatic challenge.
Adriana and Sergio support each student in achieving their ambitions at sea!
The Swim en el Mar adventure started with a simple idea, born from Adriana's final project during her training as a Swim Technician in Uruguay.
Once in Spain, with Sergio at his side, that dream came true in September 2020, in Tarifa. In 2022, the school took on a new lease of life by opening up in Uruguay for the summer season. Since then, their sessions have taken swimmers from the coasts of Valparaíso (Chile) to the beaches of Egypt, via Ibiza and Tenerife.
Their mission is to share their passion for sea swimming by creating experiences that transform... by inspiring each swimmer to connect deeply with water, in an environment that is both safe and caring.
Prevention and learning appropriate techniques are at the heart of their approach, so that each student not only improves their physical fitness and emotional well-being, but also their safety at sea.
A place of learning in the heart of the ocean
Swim en el Mar aspires to become the reference school for open water swimming, a unique learning space where the beach, the ocean and the sea become the greatest masters. They promote an aquatic culture based on respect and understanding of the marine environment, coastal dynamics and the preservation of ecosystems. With their comprehensive educational approach, Adriana and Sergio aim to empower swimmers of all levels, cultivating not only their technical and preventive skills, but also a deep connection to the sea and all that it houses.
