La Pescaderia

You can't come to Tarifa without setting foot under the table at La Pescaderia.

For years, when we arrived in Tarifa, the first evening of our stay was spent at La Pescaderia, Pesca to its friends.

Since 2003, La Pescaderia has been offering the best of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, freshness and quality every time.

One of the only restaurants open all year round, it is almost never empty. In summer, you can only eat here if you book in advance.

You can enjoy a huge, pleasant terrace in both summer and winter, with outdoor heaters and a tarpaulin to shelter you from the wind.

The chef works with passion and expertise, so whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed. The welcome is pleasant and very professional, with a highly dynamic team that bends over backwards to satisfy you. There's no fuss here, just a family atmosphere, neatly laid tables and a varied menu with an obvious emphasis on seafood.

For us, a great classic is the fried calamari to share as a starter, followed by a grilled fillet of red tuna, a real treat! The calamari à la plancha with vegetables is also top-notch, and for the more adventurous, the 4 ways of tasting red tuna.

Tataki and other sashimi are also excellent, and you'll certainly have to come back more than once, as the choice is so difficult!

The wine list offers a good variety from different regions, our favourite being a Petit Verdot from Ronda, "Cortijo de Los Aguilares".
