If you've never heard of Bim Bam Board, you've probably never been to Tarifa... at least not to enjoy the waves and the wind 😉 !

Bim Bam Boards

Since 2018, Bim Bam has been a reference in the world of shapers. If you're strolling along the beach among kiteboards, surfboards or now wingfoils, you can't miss his logo.

The story of Pascal, the creator of Bim Bam, begins in France, in Tours to be precise. In the 80s, windsurfing was fashionable and practiced just about everywhere. As Tours is not by the sea, Pascal chose the lakes as his playground. Gifted with ten fingers and access to the necessary materials thanks to his father, Pascal set about building his first board... that was in 1984. After creating boards for friends, his dream was to make a living out of it. But as is often the case, life decided otherwise...

After graduating, he worked for 10 years in the aerospace industry, manufacturing carbon aircraft parts. This experience gave him a solid knowledge base in the field of aeronautics. A childhood friend brought him to Tarifa in 2018, and he stayed, naturally returning to his first passion: board design.

Pascal set about finding a place to set up shop, and after visiting a number of different premises, Francis from Bilboasurf, another excellent Tarifa shaper, welcomed him into his workshop, where he remains to this day.

Gradually, he began to specialize in the manufacture of environmentally-friendly planks, using epoxy made from 40% plant-based and bio-sourced materials. The use of flax from Northern France and Belgium adds a wonderful touch of natural fiber! Although these boards are a little less responsive than carbon ones, they have the advantage of absorbing more shock and energy, so riders don't have to strain their legs.

The last two years have seen a revolution in water sports with the arrival of wingfoil. The manufacture of carbon "sandwich" boards has made it possible to create very light and rigid boards.

All boards, whether for wingfoil, kitesurf or surf, are designed on the computer and then shaped on a three-axis CNC machine. This also works for snowboards, for those who are interested 😊!

Anybody can go to Bim Bam and order a custom board. The design takes just five minutes: the buyer comes to the workshop, communicates his preferences and Pascal makes it in front of him in record time!

Wing Crew Tarifa, one of the best Wing Foil schools in Tarifa, have made special boards for beginners, adapting the material to the student's level.

On top of that, Pascal takes care of repairing damaged boards after intense sessions.

So, if your board has been damaged, this is the best address in Tarifa.
